Sport dreamers
Everyone remember some significant moments in their lifes, which are directly connected to doing something for the first time. We recall our first day at school, first friend, first kiss, first sex. These are the facts that are important to the individuals and carve deep in their brains and hearts, staying there for a long time in the future. Now, try to imagine a multi-concious society, where some incidents not only live in memories of the individuals, but exist in hearts of millions. They are important, well knowned and remembered by many. Recalling these memories brings a smile back on one’s face, no matter the age or sex. Sometimes it might even have a religious aspect…
And that’s exactly what it was this time.
17.11.2007 is already a historic date for Poland. Almost 10 million people in front of their TV sets, almost 50 thousand supporters at the stadium and euphoric reactions all over the country. Polish national football team, after beating Belgium 2:0 advanced to European Football Finals “Euro 2008″ for the first time in history. Never before, even great players from the past, who won bronze medals at the World Cup in late ’70 and early ’80, had qualified to this prestigious tournament. Man from the picture in Jesus-like-pose is Ebi Smolarek, who scored both goals and is by far the best scorer in qualification group A, outstanding even a dawning star of international football – Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal / Manchester United).
As the exeptacions start to grow, it’s time to make new historic achievements. Polish football is at the point, in which there is nothing to lose. Maybe June and July 2008, when the finals in Austria and Switzerland will be held, will become new historic symbols for this young team and the entire country.
Try to imagine becoming champions… and then defending it on a home ground in 2012, when the finals will be organised by Poland and Ukraine? Most will say it’s impossible?
Impossible is nothing.

Reality determine dreams, while dreams influence the reality. This time welcome to the reality, which might seem as a dream, except it isn’t. The word is “Backmasking”.
